About Our Team
The Phoenix is a mythical bird that is highly resilient and soars into existence after adversity. It is remarkable and unique – just as our team members are.
Meet Our Team
Ms. Fabri
Humanities
I’ve been teaching since 2007 and teaching social studies here at HMS since 2017. I love that Ms. Hickey and I get to co-teach humanities and talk about really important things that have happened throughout history through today. When I’m not at school, I’m spending time with my family, camping, reading, cooking, watching mindless entertainment, kayaking, and walking my dog, Remy.
Ms. Hickey
Humanities
I’ve enjoyed teaching here at Hunt for over 20 years. I love teaching the critical skills of writing, critical thinking, and reading so students can understand themselves and our world; Ms. Fabri and I get the chance to do this regularly. When not at school, I love spending time with family and friends, doing yoga, taking long, rambling walks to nowhere and of course, reading.
Ms. Cullen
Science
I’ve been working at Hunt since 2002. I became the Phoenix science teacher in 2008. Next year, we will explore how Earth has changed over time, weather and climate, and genetics. When I’m not teaching science, I enjoy spending time with my family kayaking and swimming, watching my kids play soccer, hockey and lacrosse, listening to music, baking and playing with my dog, Ginger.
Ms. Gagnon
Math
I’ve been teaching math at HMS since 2005. I really enjoy inspiring students and and cultivating appreciation for the opportunities that education provides. In my non-school life, I can be found working on business endeavors, having conversations about software engineering and obsessing over my cat (look up Pixiebobs).
Ms. Ide
Special Education
I’m so excited to join our incoming seventh graders in my first full year on Team Phoenix! I recently came to Hunt after working at the high school, and am so excited to continue to work with the best team! In my free time, I love to travel, write, and learn!
