About Our Team
An oasis is a place in the desert for creatures to find water, life, and sanctuary – whether you are a turtle or a bobcat or a purple-backed spiny lizard or middle school students. It’s a place where you find what you need for the rest of your journey. We hope that you find Oasis to be a safe, welcoming place full of intriguing, surprising life. Of course, Oasis was also a pretty big rock band in the 90s, so we also hope to be your Wonderwall.
You have a crew of stellar teachers roaming round the waters of our Oasis: Ms. Honigman, your sublime science teacher; Ms. Snyder, your masterful math teacher; Mr. Fisher, your heroic humanities teacher; Ms. O’Connell, your (new!) humanities teacher and Ms. Desisto, your (new!) special educator.
Meet Our Team
Ms. Honigman
Science
Ms. Honigman likes the outdoors, reading, and spending time with her family. This will be her 5th year teaching Science and her 3rd year at Hunt
Ms. Snyder
Math
Ms. Snyder enjoys spending time with her family, camping, visiting Florida, afternoon coffee and hiking. She has been teaching mathematics for 25 years.
Mr. Fisher
Humanities
Mr. Fisher likes gardening, FC Barcelona, and spending time with his family. He’s been teaching even longer than Ms. Snyder (30 years–ouch!), but he still likes that, too. After a long hiatus, he’s finally back into working out. His favorite place to be is anywhere outside.
Ms. O’Connell
Humanities
Ms. O’Connell enjoys reading, and writing. She also enjoys spending time with her family, and her dog Jax. She spends a lot of time at her local gym, drinks way too much Starbucks, and is currently working on writing her own novel!
Ms. DeSisto
Special Education
Ms. DeSisto is excited to be on Team Oasis. Ms. DeSisto has been part of the Hunt community for three years with this being her first year as a Special Educator. She enjoys reading and writing in her free time and spends the winters snowboarding at Sugarbush!
