Ms. Orlando
Math & Science
I’m Mrs. Orlando. I grew up in Burlington and went to school at C. P. Smith, Hunt, and BHS. (That’s a photo of me at Camp Hochelaga when I was about your age.) My mom and dad were teachers in Burlington and my 3 kids all went to school in Burlington. Even though I’ve lived in lots of different places like California, Germany, and Arizona, I am very “rooted” in Vermont.
My kids are all grown up. Kirsten is 39 and lives with her wife Jill in Winooski; Alex is 33 and lives in Williston with his partner Kim, and Patrick, 30, is in Worcester, Massachusetts with his wife Grace and my 18th-month-old grandson, Neal. I enjoy being a grandma!
I am a total animal person. Sadly, my dear dog Manny is no longer with us (he was really old), but I have a cat named Wallace plus Thor, a ball python, and 3 African water frogs.
I do a lot of running, biking and hiking in the summer; in the winter, my husband John and I ski, snowshoe and ride our fat bikes. I have been taking violin lessons for five years. My favorite thing to do is play duets with my teacher! I love teaching sixth grade and just know that we’ll have a great year together on Team Calypso!

Ms. Klarides
Humanities
I’m Ms. Klarides. You can call me Ms. K. I am originally from Connecticut but I moved up to Vermont when I was in High School. I also lived down in Florida for a few years. I am so happy to be back up in Vermont and learning with you all this year.
I live in Winooski with my partner David and we have two dogs. Their names are Rosie and Kato. They are really fun and energetic. We like to spend a lot of time outside with them. We go for long hikes and swim. Kato really loves his frisbee!
One of my favorite things to do is cook. I enjoy trying new recipes and sharing food with family and friends.

Mr. Wothers
Special Education
My Name is Mr. Wothers and I am one of the Special Educators at Hunt Middle School. I was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and lived there till I was 28 years old. My next adventure led me to Houston, TX where I would live until 2021, which was the year that my family moved to VT. I have been in the education field since 1995. Special education has long been my passion and I am fortunate to be able to work with the awesome students here at Hunt. When I am not teaching and the weather is nice I enjoy hiking, cycling, and kayaking. In the snowy months, my wife and I enjoy snowshoeing.
