About QUEST
The QUEST program was a grant funded professional development program of the Burlington Schools, in cooperation with Saint Michael's College in Colchester, Vermont. The QUEST program was funded by a five year federal Title VII 'Teaching All Teachers' grant from 2002-2007.
The QUEST program sponsored a year long professional development opportunity for teachers in the district. Teachers attended a week long or semester long QUEST Institute. Teachers received further support from ESL Content Specialists during the school year. Teachers learned how to teach the English language learners in their classroom.
QUEST team members published a newsletter, presented at conferences, and produced materials for teachers. Read about some of work in the KnowledgeQUEST section of this website.
The QUEST program continues today through the work of the district ESL content specialist and district and regional trainings.
