ASK AGATHA
….Continued from page 1
Dear Agatha,
My friend told me they’re getting bullied after school and
didn’t want me to tell anyone. I don’t want my friend getting hurt
and I don’t want to lose their trust and ruin our friendship either.
What should I do?

Dear Defender or Defenseless,
Friendships are very precious things, even Abraham Lincoln said,
“The better part of one’s life consists of his friends.” There was
also another quote from a Pizza Place sign, “Friends are the bacon
bits in the salad bowl of life.” Nobody wants to ruin a friendship.
Your friend is probably afraid that if you tell anyone, the bully will
beat even harder. Trust me, at Hunt Middle School bullying and harassing
problems are taken care of. If you don’t tell an adult you can trust,
your friend will keep getting hurt. If your friend doesn’t appreciate
your help maybe he or she really isn’t your friend. Remember if you
don’t have a parent or other adult you can trust, you can talk to any
of the teachers at Hunt, or your student councilor. Also don’t forget
about Mr. Amotto and Ms. Caroll

Dear Agatha,
There is a person I like but I can’t get them to notice me!
I’ve tried tons of things to make them notice me but they don’t seem
to care. I don’t what else to do.

Hopeless
Dear Hopeless,
Don’t give up just yet. Maybe this person doesn’t notice you
because they think that you don’t notice them. Try saying hi to them
in the hallway, or if you have any classes with them try to start a
conversation. If that doesn’t work and there still not noticing you
maybe try moving on to someone else, there is always more fish in the
sea.
Signed,
Agatha
